Posted on February 21st, 2011 No commentsWe headed back to Bic Camera today and captured some footage of Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D. Rollo was at the helm again to fight his way through the entire playable demo. Overall he said he probably won’t buy the game, but that it might be more interesting with a higher difficult setting (or in later stages of the game).

Posted on February 21st, 2011 No commentsShin’en Multimedia, the minds that brought Nanostray 2 to the Nintendo DS has confirmed in an interview that they’re working on an action game for the 3DS. The team has had a couple of recent successes via WiiWare with Art of Balance and Jett Rocket. There’s no further details about the game itself, but it’s been in development since Autumn 2010, so hopefully they’re not too far off from spilling the beans.

Nintendo: Physical media ain’t going anywhere
Posted on February 21st, 2011 No commentsI love services like Steam that allow you to play games without owning any physical media. But if you’re someone who prefers holding a game in your hands, then you’ll be happy to hear that Nintendo doesn’t plan to abandon you in the near future. Laurent Fischer has said in an interview with EDGE magazine that “We have been very clearly communicating for a long time that the packaged software or retail market is the one that’s going to drive the mass market. We have never seen any link between growth in the mobile gaming market and decrease in the normal software market. It’s two different markets, two different topics. We couldn’t find any evidence of those two markets being linked.”

Nintendo Voice Chat Podcast
Posted on May 5th, 2010 No commentsThe good old boys over at IGN have recorded another episode of the Nintendo Voice Chat Podcast. It is one the the least memorable podcasts they have recorded since the new regime took over management of the Nintendo team over at IGN. Craig returned from holidays this week, they call Matt when he was out for fast food with his family, and answer some reader questions.
The most interesting part of the podcast is when Craig addresses rumors that the 3DS will be launching as early as October this year. Craig thinks it’s coming out this year. Sweet!
